Experience:

• 0-3 years of experience in Information Security Research for Enterprise Security software products.

Qualification:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering

Job Brief:

Basically, a Security Research Engineer will join the security research and development team. Secondly, The role involves performing research on the latest vulnerabilities, developing security content for those vulnerabilities. Finally, A primary expectation would be of genuine interest in the field of Information Security. Lastly, Prior exposure to exploit development, AV/IDS/IPS signature creation, participation in community or projects related to security would be considered an added advantage.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Research and development of vulnerability detection scripts for the latest security vulnerabilities
• Moreover, Understanding the relationship between vulnerabilities and malware
• Creating a proof of concepts for the latest vulnerabilities
• Similarily, Identifying ways to fix or mitigate the vulnerabilities
• Perform Peer testing and QA for the developed content
• Besides, Automating repetitive tasks using Python or any other scripting language
• Writing technical blogs/articles on the latest security trends/vulnerabilities/exploits
• Lastly, Developing security tools.

Engineer Jobs in JP Nagar

Skills:

• 1-3 years of experience in Security Content Development role with Enterprise Software/Security/Cloud/SaaS-based companies with a demonstrated track record
• Generally, Practical knowledge of Security and Vulnerabilities
• Excellent understanding of OWASP Top 10 Vulnerabilities
• Creating, reproducing and demonstrating proof of concepts for the latest vulnerabilities
• Besides, Good analytical and interpersonal skills
• Likewise, Good in at least one of the programming languages (python/C/C++/LUA)
• Good understanding of IT Infrastructure Management and Information Security and exposure to various security technologies
• Knowledge of System and Network security
• Additionally, Familiarity across Unix/Linux, Windows, Mac systems and Virtualization
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle conflicting priorities
• Understanding of NMAP NSE script development will be an added advantage
• Exploit development, IDS/IPS signature development will be an added advantage
• Lastly, Strong communication skills, Verbal & Written (English)
