Job Description for an SAP Basis OSDB Migration Engineer:

Besides, as a Certified SAP Basis OS/DB migration Consultant. Furthermore, expected to have hands-on experience in performing SAP OS/DB migrations across different OS and Database platforms.

Additionally, You should have worked as an SAP Basis consultant with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Productive environments with minimum 2 End to End OSDB Migration projects and at least 1 major upgrade project.

•  Nevertheless, At least 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in either SAP Basis Administration, Database Administration or OS Administration.

• Secondly, Strong customer focus and management of client expectations.
• Furthermore, Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Besides, Excellent teamwork skills.
• Nevertheless, Can work with minimum supervision.
• SAP Basis experience on release 4.6 and above.
• SAP experience on any of the following Netweaver technologies:
• Besides, SAP Basis Netweaver Administration.
• Nonetheless, Business Warehouse / Business Intelligence.
• Enterprise Portal Administration/ SAP Workplace.
• SAP Exchange Infrastructure (SAP PI) Administration / SAP Business Connector.
• SAP J2EE 7.0, 7.1 & 7.2 CE, 7.3 and higher.
• SAP Solution Manager operations (MOPZ, RCA, Managed system configurations)
• Trex Administration.
• SAP OSDB Migration.
• SAP Major release upgrade.
• Lastly, SAP HANA implementation and Administration skills

Qualifications 

• Firstly, Educational background: University degree (Computer Science, 
• Besides, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, etc.) or equivalent experience in IT or relevant business area.
• Lastly, Good understanding of ITIL, Service standard processes (certification preferred)

OSDB Migration Engineer Jobs

Pre-screen questions

•  How many OS/DB Migrations you have worked?

     Minimum 1 to 2 Migrations End to End

•  Have you worked on any of the following OS (HPUX, Linux, AIX environment))

       Anyone of the above is a must

• Have you worked on any of the following DB ( Oracle, DB2, Sybase, Hana)?

      Oracle, HANA must, and others added advantage 

•  Are you OS/DB Migration Certified? (Preferably YES)

     Are you SAP HANA Administration Certified? (Preferably YES)

• How many SAP HANA implementations you have worked?

         Minimum 1 to 2

• Are you willing to work in 24*7 projects? They should be willing for 24/7

Mandatory skill – OSDB Migration and Database hands-on – 5-10 yrs
OSDB Migration certified (almost 50% should have certification)
1 to 2 implementation
SAP HANA exposure
Hand on SAP Basis Netweaver
Hands-on ITIL process
Candidates should be comfortable with a 24/7 environment, though they will be working from home as of now.
Candidates should be willing to take up the IC role.
Lastly, Look for Consultants/Sr Consultants only.
