Job Role Java Application Support Engineer
Purpose of Position
Java support consists of the work to maintain and provide the post-production support to the application which is already developed by the development team.
This task includes-code review of an existing application. Besides, If some change required in java application functionality, then add some additional modules as well as re-factor the existing modules or methods.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Firstly, Liaise with Project Manager, Support Manager and Development team to initiate Work Efforts that enhance supported application functionality.
- Secondly, Evaluate, install, configure, and deploy new applications, systems software, products. Additionally, enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise.
- Besides, Provide remote technical assistance and support, and resolve problems related to the use of applications for end-users.
- Likewise, Research, resolve, respond to, and document end-user inquiries; and escalate or reassign issues and problems as needed to the appropriate resource for resolution.
- Moreover, Document current processes and procedures; and build, maintain and contribute to a knowledge base for the organization’s systems.
- Similarily, Application server hands-on experience on any of WebSphere, WebLogic or JBOSS.
- Furthermore, Be able to distinguish between a mobile applications problem or back end processing issue.
- Lastly, Be able to troubleshoot back end processing issues, understanding the flow.
- Additionally, Be able to assist platforms and banks with processing issues.
- Besides, Be able to call REST services using a tool to help troubleshoot issues.
- Lastly, Be able to look at Java log files and determine who to engage.

Education & Certification
Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Stream / B.Sc / M.Sc (Computer Science) / MCA.
Experience Required
- Should be well versed with Troubleshooting and Diagnostic Skills in Software.
- Basic Knowledge of Networking and Client-Server architecture.
- Should have basic knowledge of SQL, ORACLE, OS and Application Server.
- The candidate should have good experience in Application Support,
- Installation, Software Installation, Patch management.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills
- Likewise, Excellent English communication (verbal and written) skills and team working capabilities.
- Moreover, Robust Design & Development experience in Java, C/C++.
- Besides, Should have handled Banking and Finance related IT projects.
- Thorough understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), lead the team through various phases like Requirements, Analysis/Design, Development and Testing and providing post-implementation support.
