Software Architect Responsibilities and Duties

This role is of Embedded Software Architect who will be leading all our embedded firmware and application software development activities.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

•  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Communication, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

•  Experienced in the overall architecture of product software including firmware, Linux / free RTOS, embedded application development and interaction with hardware designs.
•  Excellent Programming Skills – C, C++, Python.
•  Extensive knowledge on ARM and general-purpose microcontrollers.
•  Multimedia streaming application development (Linux platform preferred)
•  Linux Kernel programming, device driver experience. Additionally, Knowledge in one or more of the following: SPI, I2C, SDIO, NAND Flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth.
•  Likewise, Knowledge in one or more of the following: Audio-Video codecs specifically H264/H265, Network protocols, device driver development.
•  Mandatory, Knowledge of embedded systems, Firmware is essential.
•  Similarily, Knowledge of Image Signal Processing and Camera related development.
•  Besides, Experience in board bring-up activities and able to understand schematics, etc.
•  Moreover, Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•  In Brief, Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•  Ability to work in a team environment utilizing collaboration skills.
•  Strong technical leadership skills, take ownership and work independently as well as in a team. Able to come up with innovative solutions.
•  Finally, Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals.
•  To conclude, Good Debugging skills and hands-on with coding and tool usage.
