Job Description
Job Title: Linux Administrator Jobs
Linux Administrator Jobs duties and responsibilities
- Firstly, Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to support a 24x7x365 uptime service.
- Secondly, Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs.
- Besides, Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments.
- Furthermore, Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions.
- Moreover, Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning.
- Likewise, Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hotfixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware.
- Additionally, Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks.
- Furthermore, Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment.
- Lastly, Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
Linux Administrator Jobs qualifications and requirements
- Previous working experience as a Linux Administrator for (3) year(s)
- IN depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc., patch management.
- Besides, Hands-on experience with MySQL, MongoDB and MariaDB
- Familiarity with Virtualization KVM, proxmox.
- Expert in Shell, Perl, and Python scripting.
- Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTPS, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP
- Additionally, Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC) will be considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of Docker container services.
- Knowledge of hardening and security configuration on servers.
- Besides, Knowledge of cloud computing AWS, ec2,s3, beanstalk, vpc.
- Knowledge of server monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix etc.
- Hands-on log monitoring tools, central log server.
- Data backup and restoration.
- Change management, Jira.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
Total Experience – 2 to 4 Yrs.
