Job Title: Network Administrator Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Firstly, Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade corporate customer’s networks and in-house servers.
• Besides, Install and integrate new server hardware and applications.
• Likewise, Keep an eye out for needed updates.
• Moreover, Support and administer third-party applications.
• Similarily, Ensure network security and connectivity.
• Furthermore, Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
• Besides, Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords.
• Additionally, Resolve problems reported by end-user.
• Define network policies and procedures.
• Specify system requirements and design solutions.
• Research and make recommendations on server system administration.

• Likewise, Knowledge of IP addressing and some common networking protocols like IPv4 and IPv6.
• Moreover, Knowledge of the common operating systems such as Windows (XP, Vista, and Windows , Linux and MAC OS.
• Additionally, Knowledge of various Networking Services such as directories, files, distributed applications, email, HTTP, FTP, DNS and some other common services.
• Similarily, Knowledge of security maintenance using encryption, firewalls, IDS, anti-virus, anti-spam etc.
• Knowledge of ISP/Communication Providers and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
• Moreover, Technical Skills — In addition to the networking basic, a person also needs specialized skills to install and update the networking services..
