Remote Senior Java Developer Jobs

Background/Experience

• Primarily, Minimum 3 years experience developing JEE based software or web-based solutions, and experience with an agile development methodology.
• Basically, A successful candidate should be a seasoned developer, with a computer science background, and hands-on expertise with JEE development.

Consulting Skills

• Firstly, Ability to communicate with technical and business colleagues.
• Likewise, Ability to define technical solutions for assigned stories and communicate to technical leadership.
  Non-Technical Skills.
• Moreover, Experience in agile development, preferably Scrum.
• Similarily, Ability to review and estimate technical user stories and add details as needed.

Technical Skills

• Experience designing and implementing patterns in JEE applications.
• Experience implementing JEE based MVC frameworks using Spring MVC or similar.
• Spring Framework experience: dependency injection, MVC, transaction management.
• ORM experience with JPA, Hibernate, or similar.
• Basically, Experience writing and troubleshooting complex SQL queries.
• Experience with NoSQL document databases such as Mongo is preferred.
• Experience implementing API endpoints using REST or SOAP, etc.
• Middle tier integration with ESB or API gateways.
• Experience with message-driven architectures using JMS or Kafka.
• Understanding of source control as it pertains to: committing, deploying, branching, merging. Experience with Git is ideal.
• Note: some qualified senior candidates may not have experience with not all of the technologies listed above, but should come to the interview prepared to talk intelligently about all of them.

Java Developer Jobs

Preferred

• BS/BA degree with CS concentration, MS/MA  preferred.
• Experience delivering solutions in the financial services industry a plus.

Travel

• Should be comfortable with occasional travel, as necessary.
• May work from home or client offices, as necessary.

We require the ability and willingness to travel up to 25% from NYC, and up to 50% from other locations. Besides, The client is anchoring teams in the Boston, Chicago, and New York areas where we have major clients. This position is in our New York location.
